My baby girl is 1 month old today! I can't believe we are already 4 weeks into parenthood.. seems like yesterday we were packing our hospital bags and getting ready to meet her, now we have her and life is just wonderful! I love being a mother and I love having my daughter to wake up to every morning. I can't imagine a single day without her.
We are still exclusively breastfeeding and I love it! Such a bonding experience and I know that she's getting the best nutrition that I can give her. She's still eating every 2-3 hours during the day but at night she can sleep for as long as 4-4.5 hours! We do have our occasional fussy night though, as all babies do.. She's started having longer awake periods within the past week and it is so much fun interacting with her (though she doesn't really interact back.. I mostly just sing and make a fool of myself in front of her. haha!) She's out of newborn diapers as of last Friday (today is Wednesday) and into size 1! She's also mostly in 0-3 clothing, though that dress above is still newborn. She coos a lot now and likes to kick her legs around while awake.
At her 2 week appointment she was up to 7lbs 14oz (her birth weight was 6lbs 10oz, though she dropped to 6lbs 5oz a few days later) I was so happy to hear she had gained so much in less than 2 weeks! Her head circumference also went up from 32.5cm to 36cm! I am not sure how much she weighs now.. now that its been another full 2 weeks, but my baby girls cheeks are fuller and I can tell she's gained weight just from picking her up. Our next appointment will be her 2 month in April, so I'll have to wait till then to see.
