17 Weeks!

We've got a crib now, too! My hubby, Rogelio, has a little tradition/game that runs in his family that once you have the crib set up you tie a blue balloon and a pink balloon to the rails. The one to deflate the most first is what you are not having. I thought that was just adorable, so of course we are keeping the tradition!

Of course I got all excited when I saw that the blue balloon was all wrinkly & losing air while the pink one was still nice and plump. He he he. ; )

Here's some pictures!

Our awesome dresser! I just love it. Rogelio had to have his brother come over & help him get it up the stairs, 'cause no way was I going to be able to be of any assistance. That thing weighs a ton!

I love love LOVE our crib! It's a Simmons 4 in 1 (converts to a toddler bed, day bed & full sized/twin bed). It came with a free $109 dollar mattress, what a deal! My mom actually found it & told us about it. So happy she did, because we were having a horrible time crib shopping. Seemed everything we fell in love with, all the stores were sold out of or they weren't active meaning that it couldn't be ordered. Just frustrating. But we have one now, and it's beautiful, so I'm happy happy happy!

Close up of the balloons. Go pink! Hehe, I'll be happy no matter what we are having, but this is a fun game.

Thought I'd throw a picture in here of our diaper collection thus far. Also, the Winnie the Pooh box sitting on the dresser in the first picture is full of newborn sized diapers & sensitive wipes. We will not purchase anymore newborn sized ones since they grow out of those so quickly. We have two boxes of size 1 and  two boxes of size 2. That's also all we are going to buy for those sizes. I think three boxes of size 3 is what we are going to be getting next. I'm just going off of how many of each diapers my nephews & nieces used as infants. If we end up buying too many, no biggie, there's always babies around in the family or in my circle of friends that could use them up! And if we are a little short... it's a nice excuse to get out of the house with baby! : )

And last but not least, my hubby surprised me with a blanket he had made with our first ultrasound picture on it! How sweet is that?!

Food Cravings: Eh, nothing in particular. I like food, I just didn't crave anything this week.

Food aversions: Nope. My aversion to meat has eased up, but I still don't wanna eat much of it. It's just not something I think about.

Weight Gain: 8 lbs. Woah mama. I got weighed at the doctors this morning. May I note I was wearing jeans & a sweater. Yes, stating that does make me feel better about that number!

Symptoms: Hot flashes, of course the peeing every 15-30 minutes, head aches have come back, EXHAUSTION, and this little unpleasant pain in my lower back that shoots down into my butt. How nice. Always seems to appear while I'm at work, on my feet for a long period of time.

Movement: Some light movement. Nothing big yet.

Memory Of The Week: Hearing babies heart beat again at my appointment this morning. I always love that.

Stretch Marks: Nope. I did buy some Paulmers Body Butter for Stretch Marks yesterday. I know nothing can prevent them, because it all comes down to genetics but I do believe it'll be easier for your skin to stretch if it's well moisturized. Also, it can help with the horrible itchiness that my sister experienced from her skin stretching.

Showing: I'm officially in maternity jeans. Yep.

Gender Prediction: I feel like we are having a girl. I will be happy with a boy too, though.

Maternity Cloths: I've got a few items for when I'm bigger, that I bought on sale & yesterday I bought a pair of jeans and a few undershirts. I also had to buy a new bra. I'm officially a whole cup size larger than pre-pregnancy. They don't even feel like mine! ....Hubby's loving it though, of course.
